Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
~ Hebrews 1:1-2

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? . . . So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
~ Romans 10:14, 17

Sermon Series:

My Only Comfort (Pastor Bryce)

Trace the cherished truths of the Bible with the Heidelberg Catechism, and discover how the truths of the Bible - the truths about what God has done in His Son - are personal truths that comfort and challenge us to live and to die in the joy of Christian comfort.

The God of Elisha (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.” (2 Kings 2:9). This sermon series pick up the story where we left off with the Prophet Elijah.

Colossians: Complete in Christ (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone complete in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28). In his letter to the Colossians, the Apostle Paul draws his readers’ attention to the supremacy of Christ in order that we might see that spiritual fullness can be found in him alone.

The Beatitudes (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

“And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: '“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:1-12)

The Belgic Confession: "We Believe and Confess" (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

What has the Christian Church believed and confessed throughout the history of the world? This teaching series through the Belgic Confession will help you to understand the core doctrines of the Christianity and the Reformed Faith.

The Life and Reign of King Solomon (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore, so that Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt” (1 Kings 4:29-30). In King Solomon, God gave his people a glorious picture or foreshadowing of the greater King to come - the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our wisdom from God. As we walk through the life of Solomon, God invites us to appreciate more the beauty, love, and wisdom of King Jesus.

The Divided Kingdom (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand and will give it to you, ten tribes. Yet to his son I will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put my name.” (1 Kings 11:35-36). Truly, our God is a promise-keeping God, and even when his people are unfaithful, he remains faithful. Follow the story of the Kingdom after Solomon’s downfall, and marvel at God’s faithfulness to the promise that he made to David - “And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever.” (2 Samuel 7:16)

The God of Elijah (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

James 5:17 tells us that, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours.” In other words, Elijah was just like us. He was a man who found himself living in a hostile world, under the reign of a king who did not fear God. But the good news is simply this: the God of Elijah is our God too. The God who graciously intervened in the days of Elijah is the very same God who graciously intervenes is our lives as well. Follow the story of Elijah and discover how this is so.

The Heidelberg Catechism: Our Only Comfort in Life and in Death (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

Lord’s Day 1 of the Heidelberg Catechism begins by asking the question, “What is your only comfort in life and in death.” And in the course of 52 Lord’s Day, our catechism expands on the following answer: “That I am not my own, but I belong, body and soul, in life and death, to my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven; in fact, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, also assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him.” If you want to know who you are, what God has done, and how God now calls his people to live, listen through this series on Our Only Comfort in Life and in Death.

Songs for Sojourners (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

In Psalm 137, the exiled people of the LORD cried out with the question, “How shall we sing the songs of Zion in a foreign land?” As Christians face the opposition and hostility of the world, they sometimes find themselves asking a similar question. Thankfully, God has graciously given us a book of songs to sing called The Psalms. These songs shape and comfort God’s people today as much as they did God’s people in the Old Testament as they looked forward to the coming of Christ, who himself sang these songs during his sojourn on the earth.

Christ in the Life of Daniel (Pastor Bryce De Zwarte)

What does it look like to be faithful in a faithless world? And how does God’s Kingship in Jesus Christ and the promise of the Coming of his Kingdom comfort his people when they find themselves living at a time and in a world where everyone wants to be the king and queen of their own castle and where their “kingdoms” are at war with the Kingdom of Christ? We find the answers to these questions in the life of Daniel. (Sermons)
